By 3:30 p.m. NST Saturday low 966 mb located over eastern Labrador
At 3:30 p.m. NST today low 1007 mb located near Sable Island.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday low 1007 mb located southeast of the
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:21 PM NST 13 December 2013 A deep and large low pressure system southwest of Greenland will
slowly drift northwestwards today and Saturday. Strong to gale force
westerlies will persist throughout the forecast period.
Additionally a small low pressure system will form south of Nova
Scotia this morning and track over the Extreme Southern Grand Banks
tonight. Over the southernmost waters of the Grand Banks, strong to
gale force westerlies will intensify to gale to storm force overnight
and then diminish to gale force Saturday morning.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Southeastern Grand Banks - southern half and the Southwestern
Grand Banks - southern half. Gale warnings are in effect for all
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except the Southern Grand Banks.
