Issued 3:00 AM NDT 16 April 2014 Today Tonight and Thursday At 3:00 a.m. NDT today deepening low 989 mb located over central
Labrador.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing low 967 mb located north of
Labrador Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today cold front from 992 mb low located over
New Brunswick.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Thursday cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over Funk Island Bank.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:57 AM NDT 16 April 2014 A low pressure system over Central Labrador will track northeastward
across the Labrador Sea today. A trailing cold front will move across
Newfoundland later today and will lie over eastern waters overnight.
The cold front will move east of the district on Thursday. Strong to
gale force southerly winds ahead of the cold front today will veer to
strong to gale force westerly with its passage. Winds will begin to
subside on Thursday as a ridge of high pressure approaches from the
west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf - Port au Port, East Coast
- north of Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast and the Belle Isle Bank.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf - Port au
Port, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank and the Funk Island Bank.
