Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM NDT 21 October 2014 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 4:00 a.m. NDT today low 975 mb located over the South Labrador
Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Wednesday low 980 mb located southeast of
Greenland.

At 4:00 a.m. NDT today weakening ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Hudson Strait.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT today dissipating ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over the North Labrador Coast.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:59 AM NDT 21 October 2014 A deep low pressure system presently over the South Labrador Sea will
track northeastward to lie south of Greenland by tonight. Strong to
gale force northeasterlies can be expected ahead of the low while
strong to gale force northwesterlies will occur in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, North Labrador Coast -
Saglek and south, South Labrador Sea, Northwest Labrador Sea -
southern half and the East Labrador Sea - southern half.
