Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 9:30 PM NDT 18 September 2014 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 993 mb located over the Northwest
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Friday low 1000 mb located over Davis Strait.
At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 1006 mb located over the northeastern
Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Friday low 994 mb located over the South Labrador
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:16 PM NDT 18 September 2014 A low pressure system over the Northwest Labrador Sea will move
slowly northeastward to lie north of the marine district overnight.
Gale force westerlies south of the low over the Labrador Sea are
expected to diminish by Friday morning.
Another low approaching from the southwest will deepen as it moves
over the South Labrador Sea on Friday. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will develop in the wake of this system.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Sea - northwestern half, Northwest Labrador Sea -
southern half, and East Labrador Sea - northern half.
