Marine Weather StatementIssued 7:52 PM NST 8 March 2014 An intensifying low pressure system just south of the Laurentian Fan
at forecast time will track northeastward across the Grand Banks
tonight and early on Sunday. Gale force northeasterlies will develop
northwest of the low tonight while gale force southerlies can be
expected to its southeast. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will
develop over most waters on Sunday in the wake of this system.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
East Coast - Cape St. Francis and south and the Grand Banks.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except South Coast, East Coast - Cape St.
Francis and south, and the Grand Banks.
