Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:27 AM AST 4 December 2013 An intense low pressure system over Cape Breton will continue moving
northeastward to lie over Southern Newfoundland this evening. Gale to
storm force north to westerlies in its wake will continue into
tonight for eastern waters.
In addition higher than normal water levels and large waves due to
strong northwest winds will give rough pounding surf to north and
west facing coasts of Northeastern Mainland Nova Scotia, Cape Breton
and Prince Edward Island today.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
Eastern shore..Sable..East Scotian Slope..Fourchu..Banquereau..
Laurentian Fan..Cabot Strait..Northumberland Strait - eastern half..
Gulf-Magdalen and Anticosti - eastern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Fundy..
Grand Manan..Lurcher..Browns Bank and Georges Bank.
