It tracks northeastward into the Labrador Sea tonight. A cold front
from this system will sweep the district today. Strong southerly
winds ahead of the cold front will shift to strong to gale force
northwesterlies in its wake. A strong ridge of high pressure
Sliding southwest of the district will back winds to strong to gale
force southwesterlies over western waters late in the day.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
All marine waters. A freezing spray warning is in effect for western
half of Anticosti.
