Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 10:00 AM NST 28 November 2014 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. NST today departing low 987 mb located east of Funk
Island Bank.

At 10:00 a.m. NST today quasi-stationary ridge located on a line
east-west over southern Labrador Sea.

At 3:30 p.m. NST today deepening low 998 mb located south of
Laurentian Fan.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday low 992 mb located over the southeastern
Grand Banks.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:59 AM NST 28 November 2014 A low pressure system currently east of the Funk Island Bank will
continue to move northeastward away from the marine district today.
Strong to gale force northerlies behind the low will diminish as it
moves off.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Funk Island Bank and the Northern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle and the Belle Isle Bank.
