Issued 9:27 AM NDT 23 September 2014 A low pressure system over the East Labrador Sea will track
northeastwards to lie over the Southwest Coast of Greenland by this
afternoon. The system will then weaken as it travels northwards up
the coast of Greenland. A trough extending back from this low
currently lies over the South Labrador Coast, and will be east of the
Belle Isle Bank by this evening.

Gale force northeasterlies are north of the low and trough, while
gale force southwesterlies are to their south. Winds will veer to
generally strong to gale force northwesterlies in the system's wake.
Over the northern half of the East Labrador Sea, these
northwesterlies are forecast to reach storm force.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
East Labrador Sea - northern half. Gale warnings are in effect for
all remaining waters except Lake Melville.
