By 4:00 p.m. NST Monday low 981 mb located southeast of Greenland.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over the Mid Labrador Coast.
By 9:30 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over Belle Isle Bank.
At 4:00 p.m. NST today ridge located over southern Quebec.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Monday ridge located over western Labrador.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:57 PM NST 8 December 2013 An intense low pressure system over the Eastern Labrador Sea will
slowly drift eastward to lie south of Greenland by Monday. A trough
of low pressure over the Mid Labrador Coast will continue moving
southeastward and leave the marine district overnight tonight. Strong
to gale force northwesterlies will persist over the marine district
tonight and Monday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except East Labrador Sea - southeastern half.
