Marine Weather Statement

Issued 2:57 AM NDT 18 September 2014 At 3:00 A.M. NDT hurricane Edouard was located near 38.7 north, 48.2
west. Edouard is moving east-northeastward at 26 knots with maximum
sustained winds of 75 knots and a central pressure of 960 MB.

Edouard will continue to weaken and track east-northeastward away
from the Grand Banks today. Strong northeast to northerly winds over
the Grand Banks will diminish today as the hurricane moves away.

Long period swells near 2 meters generated by Edouard are expected to
continue today along the South Coast of Newfoundland, which may
result in breaking waves and pounding surf along parts of the
coastline. However since the tidal cycle is nearing a low point, the
impacts are not expected to be as significant as they would be at
higher points in the tidal cycle.
