northeast-southwest over southern Labrador Coast.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Monday departing trough located east of Funk
At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located over southern Quebec.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Monday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 8:00 PM NST 8 December 2013 A low pressure system south of Greenland will continue to drift
slowly eastward tonight. A trough of low pressure over the South
Labrador Coast will continue moving southeastward tonight to lie over
the Funk Island Bank by Monday morning. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will persist over the marine district tonight and
most of Monday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast - north of
Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island
