35.2N 69.3W.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday Hurricane Cristobal 974 mb located at
41.6N 55.6W.

At 3:00 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary trough located on a line
east-west over the South Coast of Newfoundland.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 8:04 PM NDT 27 August 2014 A low pressure system southeast of the Labrador Sea will continue
eastward into the North Atlantic tonight. Gale force northwesterlies
over the Belle Isle Bank will diminish tonight as the low moves away.

Marine interests are advised that a gale warning is in effect for
Belle Isle Bank.

At 6:30 PM NDT hurricane Cristobal was located near 32.7 north, 71.4
west or about 250 nautical miles southeast of Cape Hatteras.
The maximum sustained winds are estimated at 65 knots and the central
pressure at 984 MB. Cristobal is moving north-northeast at 13 knots
and is expected to turn to the northeast and begin accelerating
northeastward tonight. The current forecast track takes Cristobal
across the Southeastern Grand Banks as a marginal hurricane on
Friday. Storm to hurricane force winds can be expected over much of
the Grand Banks on Friday as Cristobal passes.

Marine interests are advised to monitor the latest forecasts from the
Canadian Hurricane Centre and the Newfoundland and Labrador weather
office for updates on the Progress of Cristobal and its impacts on
Newfoundland marine waters.
