at 46.7N 46.0W.
By 3:00 a.m. NDT Saturday departing Post-tropical Storm Cristobal
986 mb located at 51.1N 38.7W.

At 3:30 p.m. NDT today merging trough located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Grand Banks.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:39 PM NDT 29 August 2014 At 3.30 PM NDT, post-tropical storm Cristobal was located near
latitude 46.7 north and longitude 46.0 west , about 282 nautical
miles or 521 kilometres east of st. Johns. Maximum sustained winds
are estimated at 65 knots and central pressure at 978 MB. Cristobal
is moving northeast at 45 knots (83 km/h).

Gale to storm force north to northeasterlies over southern waters
will subside throughout the night as the remnants of Cristobal tracks
out to sea.

Marine interests are advised that a high water level warning in
effect for the East Coast. Marine interests are also advised that a
storm warning is in effect for Northern Grand Banks - southeastern
half. Gale warnings are in effect for South Coast, East Coast,
Northern Grand Banks - northwestern half, and Southern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are advised to monitor the latest forecasts from the
Canadian Hurricane Centre and the Newfoundland and Labrador weather
office for updates on the Progress of Cristobal and its impacts on
Newfoundland marine waters.
