Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:29 PM AST 21 November 2014 A cold front over eastern waters will quickly depart the marine area
this evening. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will remain over
most waters tonight. On Saturday a strong ridge of high pressure
sliding southwest of the district will back winds to strong to gale
force southwesterlies over western waters late in the day.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
marine waters. A freezing spray warning is in effect for Anticosti.
Outlook for the start up of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.
Sunday..Wind westerly 25 to 30 knots diminishing to west 15 to 20 in
the afternoon and to 10 to 15 in the evening.
Monday..Wind south 15 to 20 knots increasing to south 25 to 30 in the
afternoon and to 30 to 40 late in the day.
Tuesday..Southwesterly 30 knots.
