Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:30 PM ADT 24 April 2014 Tonight and Friday At 3:30 p.m. ADT today low 985 mb located over East Scotian Slope.
By 3:30 p.m. ADT Friday departing low 988 mb located southeast of
Laurentian Fan.

At 3:30 p.m. ADT today ridge located on a line north-south over
the Great Lakes.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT Friday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over Maine.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:24 PM ADT 24 April 2014 A low pressure system over East Scotian Slope will slowly move
eastward to lie east of the marine district Friday afternoon. Strong
to gale force northeasterlies ahead of the low shift to strong to
gale force northwesterlies behind it. Winds will gradually diminish
from west to east tonight or Friday as a weak ridge of high pressure
approaches from the west.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except for the northwestern half of Anticosti.
