Issued 8:00 PM AST 21 November 2014 Tonight and Saturday At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight low 977 mb located over Labrador Sea.
By 8:00 p.m. AST tonight cold front from low located southeast of
the Marine District.

At 8:00 p.m. AST tonight ridge located west of New England.
By 8:00 p.m. AST Saturday ridge located southwest of the Marine
District.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:51 PM AST 21 November 2014 A cold front extending from an intense low pressure system over the
Labrador Sea will quickly depart the marine district this evening.
Strong to gale force northwesterlies will persist over most waters
tonight. On Saturday a strong ridge of high pressure sliding
southwest of the district will back winds to strong to gale
Force southwesterlies over western waters late in the day.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
marine waters. A freezing spray warning is in effect for Anticosti.

Outlook for the start up of the Southwest Nova lobster fishery.

Sunday..Wind westerly 25 to 30 knots diminishing to west 15 to 20 in
the afternoon and to 10 to 15 in the evening.

Monday..Wind south 15 to 20 knots increasing to south 25 to 30 in the
afternoon and to 30 to 40 late in the day.

Tuesday..Southwesterly 30 knots.
