Issued 10:00 AM ADT 18 April 2014 Today Tonight and Saturday At 10:00 a.m. ADT today high 1043 mb located over Newfoundland.
By 9:00 p.m. ADT tonight departing high 1038 mb located east
of Newfoundland.

At 10:00 a.m. ADT today low 1025 mb located south of the Marine
District.
By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight low 1019 mb located over East Scotian
Slope.

At 3:00 p.m. ADT Saturday departing low located northeast of
Banquereau.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:46 AM ADT 18 April 2014 An area of high pressure over Western Newfoundland will
Continue to drift eastward today. Meanwhile a developing low pressure
system well south of the marine district will move slowly
northeastward today to lie over the East Scotian Slope by this
evening. Strong to gale force northeasterlies over extreme southern
waters associated with this system will diminish this evening.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
West Scotian Slope and East Scotian Slope.


Outlook for the start-up of the eastern shore lobster fishery...
Sunday..Wind north 20 knots diminishing to variable 10 to 15 in the
afternoon.
Monday..Wind variable 10 to 15 knots increasing to southwest 15 to
20 in the afternoon.
Tuesday..Wind southwest 15 knots diminishing to light.
