By 3:00 a.m. NDT Friday low 994 mb located over southern Labrador
At 3:30 p.m. NDT today departing Hurricane Edouard 974 mb located
at 39.8N 40.5W.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:00 AM NDT 18 September 2014 At 10:00 A.M. NDT hurricane Edouard was located over 1800 nautical
miles southeast of Cape Race and accelerating eastward away over the
Long period swells near 2 meters generated by Edouard are expected to
continue today along the South Coast of Newfoundland, which may
result in breaking waves and pounding surf along parts of the
coastline. However since the tidal cycle is nearing a low point, the
impacts are not expected to be as significant as they would be at
higher points in the tidal cycle.
