By 10:00 a.m. NST Monday departing low 981 mb located southeast
At 3:30 p.m. NST today trough located on a line northeast-southwest
over southern Labrador Sea.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Monday departing trough located east of Funk
At 3:30 p.m. NST today ridge located over southern Quebec.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Monday ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:27 PM NST 8 December 2013 An intense low pressure system over the Eastern Labrador Sea will
drift slowly eastward tonight to lie south of Greenland by Monday.
A trough of low pressure over the Mid Labrador Coast will continue
moving southeastward tonight to lie over the Funk Island Bank by
Monday morning. Strong to gale force westerlies will persist over the
marine district tonight and most of Monday.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Strait of Belle Isle - western half and the Northeast
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Gulf waters, East Coast - north of
Cape St. Francis, Northeast Coast, Belle Isle Bank, and Funk Island
