Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 3:00 AM NST 21 November 2014 Today Tonight and Saturday At 3:00 a.m. NST today low 1000 mb located near Anticosti Island.
By 3:00 a.m. NST Saturday deepening low 966 mb located over
southwestern Labrador Sea.

At 3:00 a.m. NST today departing high located southeast of the
Grand Banks.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:28 AM NST 21 November 2014 A low pressure system over the Western Gulf of St. Lawrence will
deepen as it tracks northeastwards to cross the Strait of Belle Isle
this morning, then eastward across the Southern Labrador Sea
overnight and Saturday. Strong to gale force southerlies are forecast
over most waters ahead of this system, and gale to storm force
westerlies in its wake.

Marine interests are advised that a storm warning is in effect for
the Belle Isle Bank. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining
waters except the Northeast Gulf.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for the Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Gulf-Port au
Port, and the Northeast Coast - north of Cape St. John.
