Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 18 September 2014 Tonight and Friday At 4:00 p.m. NDT today low 991 mb located over the Northwest
Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Friday low 1000 mb located over Davis Strait.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today low 1006 mb located near Anticosti Island.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Friday low 994 mb located over the South Labrador
Sea.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 4:00 PM NDT 18 September 2014 A low pressure system over the Northwest Labrador Sea will move
slowly northeastward to lie north of the marine district overnight.
Gale force westerlies south of the low will spread northeastward over
the Labrador Sea this evening.

Another low approaching from the southwest will deepen as it moves
over the South Labrador Sea on Friday. Strong to gale force
northwesterlies will develop in the wake of this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for Mid
Labrador Coast - north of Hopedale, North Labrador Coast - Saglek and
south, South Labrador Sea - northwestern half, Northwest Labrador Sea
- southern half, and East Labrador Sea - northern half.
