Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NDT 22 September 2014 Tonight and Tuesday At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight deepening low 982 mb located over
southeastern Labrador.
By 3:30 p.m. NDT Tuesday deepening low 964 mb located over eastern
Labrador Sea.

At 8:00 p.m. NDT tonight quasi-stationary high 1036 mb located
southeast of the Grand Banks.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:46 PM NDT 22 September 2014 A deepening low pressure system over Southeastern Labrador will track
across the Labrador Sea tonight and Tuesday. Gale to storm force
southerlies will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies
tonight. Winds will diminish later Tuesday as the low moves away from
the area.

Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the Belle Isle Bank and Funk Island Bank. Gale warnings are in effect
for all remaining waters.

Marine interests are also advised the high waves and pounding surf
can be expected along the south and west coast of Newfoundland this
evening.
