Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NST 26 November 2014 Tonight and Thursday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing low 973 mb located southeast
of Greenland.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight intensifying low 1000 mb located south
of Cape Cod.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday low 990 mb located over Newfoundland.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight ridge located on a line northwest-southeast
over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
By 8:00 p.m. NST Thursday ridge located on a line
northwest-southeast over Labrador Sea.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:59 PM NST 26 November 2014 A low pressure system southeast of Greenland will continue to move
away from the marine district tonight. Over northern waters, gale
force northwesterlies in the wake of the low will diminish this
evening.

A second low pressure system will approach western waters Thursday
morning. Strong to gale force east to northeasterlies ahead of the
low will shift to strong to gale force southwesterlies southeast of
the low.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except the Strait of Belle Isle, East Coast-north of Cape St.
Francis and Northeast Coast.

Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle.
