Issued 4:00 PM NDT 27 August 2014 Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 p.m. NDT today deepening low 988 mb located south of the
East Labrador Sea.
By 4:00 a.m. NDT Thursday departing low 981 mb located south
of Greenland.

At 4:00 p.m. NDT today building ridge located over northern Quebec.
By 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday ridge located over Labrador Coast.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT Thursday intensifying trough located west of
Greenland.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:57 PM NDT 27 August 2014 A low pressure system just south of the East Labrador Sea will track
eastward away from the district tonight. Gale force northeasterlies
can be expected just north of the low with strong to gale force
northwesterlies expected in its wake. Winds will diminish tonight.
On Thursday, gale force northwesterlies will develop over the East
Labrador Sea as a trough extending from the low strengthens west of
Greenland.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast - Hopedale and south, South
Labrador Sea - southeastern half, and East Labrador Sea.
