Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 4:00 PM NST 4 December 2013 Tonight and Thursday At 4:00 p.m. NST today low 979 mb located over Cabot Strait.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Thursday low 986 mb located east of Belle Isle
By 4:00 p.m. NST Thursday ridge located over western Labrador.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:47 PM NST 4 December 2013 A low pressure system currently over the Cabot Strait will slowly
track across Newfoundland tonight and southeast of the Labrador Sea
on Thursday. Gale to storm force northeasterlies will develop over
most waters in advance of this low.
Marine interests are advised that storm warnings are in effect for
the South Labrador Coast and the South Labrador Sea - southeastern
half. Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except the
North Labrador Coast and the Northwest Labrador Sea - northwestern
Marine interests are also advised that a freezing spray warning is in
effect for North Labrador Coast - Saglek and south.
