Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NST 24 November 2014 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 a.m. NST today weakening low 979 mb located east of
Greenland.

At 9:30 a.m. NST today low 981 mb located over the Great Lakes.
By 9:30 a.m. NST Tuesday low 974 mb located over western Labrador.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:21 AM NST 24 November 2014 A low pressure system just east of Greenland will continue to weaken
today. Strong to gale force northwesterly winds will subside today as
it weakens.

Meanwhile, a developing low pressure system over the Great Lakes
region will intensify as it tracks northeastward across Quebec
tonight and is then expected to move off the Mid Labrador Coast
Tuesday afternoon. Strong to gale force southeasterlies will spread
over most waters as the low approaches. Strong to gale force
southwesterlies will develop south of the low on Tuesday as it moves
off the coast.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Lake Melville and the East Labrador Sea.
