Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 8:00 PM NST 23 November 2014 Tonight and Monday At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight low 972 mb located over southern Greenland.
By 3:30 p.m. NST Monday low 983 mb located southeast of Greenland.

At 3:30 p.m. NST Monday approaching low 972 mb located over the
Great Lakes.

At 8:00 p.m. NST tonight departing trough located east of the
Marine District.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 7:55 PM NST 23 November 2014 An intense low pressure system over the southern tip of Greenland
will slowly track northeastward to lie southeast of Greenland
overnight tonight. Strong to gale force westerlies will persist over
most waters tonight and into Monday over northern waters.

Additionally, an intense low pressure system will track northeastward
across the Great Lakes Monday afternoon. Strong to gale force south
to southeasterly winds will develop across western waters late Monday
under the influence of this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Northeast Gulf and the Southern Grand Banks.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Strait of Belle Isle, Northeast Gulf, Northeast Coast and
Belle Isle Bank.
