Issued 10:30 AM PDT 18 September 2014 Today Tonight and Friday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today weakening ridge located over Explorer.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today frontal system located on a line north-south
over Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT today frontal system located on a line north-south
over Queen Charlotte Sound.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today quasi-stationary low 975 mb located over
the Gulf of Alaska.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:01 AM PDT 18 September 2014 A frontal system will reach the North Coast today. An intense low
pressure system will move over the Gulf Of Alaska tonight.

Ahead of the front gale force southeasterly winds will develop over
northern and central waters. In the wake of the front winds over
central waters will diminish to moderate to strong westerlies.
Over northern waters strong to gale force southwesterlies will
persist through tonight as the intense low approaches.
