Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 10:30 AM PDT 12 March 2014 Today Tonight and Thursday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today dissipating frontal system located on a
line northeast-southwest over northern Vancouver Island.
At 4:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located on a line northeast-southwest
over Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 4:00 a.m. PDT Thursday ridge located on a line
northeast-southwest over Vancouver Island.
At 4:00 a.m. PDT Thursday frontal system located off Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PDT Thursday frontal system located on a line
north-south over Bowie.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:04 AM PDT 12 March 2014 A frontal system over North Vancouver Island will dissipate late this
morning. Strong to gale force southerly winds ahead of the front and
strong westerly winds in the wake of the front will continue late
this morning over the central and northern waters.
Another frontal system will approach the offshore waters Thursday
morning. The system will move eastward reaching Bowie Thursday
afternoon. Ahead of the front gale force southeasterly winds will
develop over central and northern waters Thursday afternoon.
