Marine Weather StatementIssued 4:10 AM PST 5 December 2013 An Arctic ridge of high pressure over the British Columbia Interior
will produce strong northeasterly outflow winds this morning through
northern and central mainland inlets. Today, the Arctic ridge
Will strengthen and combine with a developing low over west coast
Vancouver Island to start to produce gale to marginal storm force
outflow winds through the north, central, and South Coast inlets.
Through some mainland inlets, the outflow winds will be strong enough
that with dropping temperatures overnight and into Friday freezing
spray will begin to be a hazard.
The Arctic ridge of high pressure will remain over the British
Columbia Interior until early this weekend.
