the offshore waters.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today trough located from the Central Coast to
Vancouver Island.
By 10:30 p.m. PDT tonight trough located from Hecate Strait to
the Washington Coast.

Issued 10:17 AM PDT 23 May 2013 A ridge of high pressure remains just outside the offshore
Waters while a trough of low pressure lies over the Central Coast.
Strong to gale force northwesterly winds are expected to persist over
portions of the central waters today. The trough will move slowly
westward across the central waters today and tonight, causing
Some locally strong southeasterlies near Northern Vancouver Island
and the Central Coast. Meanwhile, winds will be mostly light to
moderate over the inner South Coast.
