Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:54 PM NST 24 November 2014 A low pressure system just east of Greenland will continue to weaken
tonight. Strong to gale force northwesterly winds over the Labrador
Sea will subside this evening as it weakens.
Meanwhile, a low pressure system just south of James Bay will
intensify as it tracks northeastward across Quebec tonight and is
then expected to move off the Mid Labrador Coast Tuesday afternoon.
Strong to gale force southeasterlies will spread over most waters as
the low approaches. Strong to gale force southwesterlies will develop
south of the low on Tuesday as it moves off the coast.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast - Hopedale and south and the
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Lake Melville and the East Labrador Sea.
