By 4:00 p.m. NDT Thursday approaching low 979 mb located over the
Gulf of St. Lawrence.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:52 AM NDT 12 March 2014 A low pressure system over Western Labrador will cross the Mid
Labrador Coast this afternoon and continue tracking northeastwards
across the Labrador Sea tonight and Thursday. Strong to gale force
southerlies will develop ahead of the low while strong to gale force
northerlies will develop in its wake.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for all
waters except Lake Melville and East Labrador Sea - northern half.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Lake Melville and East Labrador Sea.
