Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 9:30 PM NST 6 March 2014 Tonight and Friday At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight quasi-stationary low 965 mb located
southeast of Greenland.
At 9:30 p.m. NST tonight high located over New England.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Friday high located southwest of the Grand Banks.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:23 PM NST 6 March 2014 An intense low pressure system will remain nearly stationary
southeast of Greenland throughout the forecast period. A high
pressure system over New England will gradually build south of
Newfoundland. Strong to gale force west to northwesterly winds will
prevail over the marine district between these two features.
Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
North Labrador Coast - north of Saglek, South Labrador Sea -
southeastern half and the Northwest Labrador Sea.
Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for all waters except Lake Melville.
