Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 9:30 AM NDT 19 September 2014 Today Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today departing low 1000 mb located over southern
Davis Strait.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT today deepening low 1003 mb located over the
South Labrador Sea.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT Saturday low 984 mb located over the East
Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 p.m. NDT tonight low 989 mb located over Hudson Bay.
By 9:30 p.m. NDT Saturday low 993 mb located over northern Quebec.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:54 AM NDT 19 September 2014 A low pressure system over the Northern East Labrador Sea will move
northeastward away from the marine district today. Gale force
westerlies south of the low over the East Labrador Sea are expected
to diminish this morning.

Another low currently over Belle Isle Bank will continue to deepen as
it tracks northeastward to lie over the East Labrador Sea by early
Saturday morning. Strong to gale force northwesterlies will develop
in the wake of this system.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
South Labrador Sea and East Labrador Sea.
