Issued 9:30 AM NDT 20 October 2014 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 9:30 a.m. NDT today intensifying low 988 mb located over
southwestern Newfoundland.
By 9:30 a.m. NDT Tuesday low 974 mb located east of the South
Labrador Sea.

At 9:30 a.m. NDT today quasi-stationary ridge located over Hudson
Strait.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:27 AM NDT 20 October 2014 A rapidly intensifying low pressure system will move northward
through the eastern gulf today before tracking across the South
Labrador Coast this evening and across the South Labrador Sea
tonight. Strong to gale force northeasterlies will develop ahead of
the low today and will switch to strong to gale force northwesterlies
in its wake on Tuesday.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for the
South Labrador Coast, Mid Labrador Coast, South Labrador Sea,
Northwest Labrador Sea - southern half and the East Labrador Sea -
southern half.
