Issued 4:00 PM NST 21 November 2014 Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 p.m. NST today intensifying low 986 mb located over
northwestern Belle Isle Bank.
By 4:00 p.m. NST Saturday low 958 mb located over southeastern
Labrador Sea.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:49 PM NST 21 November 2014 A low pressure system over Northwestern Belle Isle Bank will continue
to deepen as it tracks eastward across the Southern Labrador Sea
overnight and Saturday. Strong to gale force northeasterlies ahead of
the low will shift to generally gale to storm force northwesterlies
in its wake. Hurricane force northwesterlies are forecast for the
Labrador coast south of Hopedale.

Marine interests are advised that hurricane force wind warnings are
in effect for the South Labrador Coast and Mid Labrador Coast -
Hopedale and south. Storm warnings are in effect for South Labrador
Sea - western half and Northwest Labrador Sea - southern half.
Gale warnings are in effect for all remaining waters except Lake
Melville.

Marine interests are also advised that freezing spray warnings are in
effect for Lake Melville and the Labrador coast.
