Issued 10:30 AM PDT 21 May 2013 Today Tonight and Wednesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today quasi-stationary ridge located west of
the offshore waters.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today quasi-stationary trough located over
BC interior.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:29 AM PDT 21 May 2013 A strong ridge of high pressure will remain over the offshore waters
while a trough of low pressure intensifies over the province today.
On Wednesday, both the offshore ridge and the interior trough will
weaken, thus decreasing the gradient between these two features.
Gale force northwesterly winds will continue today off the outer
coast including parts of Hecate Strait and Queen Charlotte Sound
And will gradually ease to strong on Wednesday. Meanwhile, winds will
remain mostly light to moderate over the inner South Coast.
