Issued 4:00 PM PDT 18 April 2014 Tonight and Saturday At 4:00 p.m. PDT today ridge located over the Mainland Coast.
By 10:00 a.m. PDT Saturday ridge located over BC interior.

At 6:00 p.m. PDT tonight intensifying cold front located on a line
northwest-southeast over western Bowie.
By 10:00 a.m. PDT Saturday low 970 mb located over southwestern

At 8:00 p.m. PDT Saturday approaching warm front located near the
Outer Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:22 PM PDT 18 April 2014 An approaching 970 MB and cold front push towards the North Coast
tonight causing winds to rise to southeast storm force winds up to 55
knots ahead of the front from this evening to late Saturday morning.
Hurricane force southeasterlies near 70 knots are likely near the
headlands of Vancouver Island overnight and early Saturday morning.
Winds will ease to strong to gale force late Saturday over coastal
waters as the front reaches the BC coast.

A secondary system swinging around the primary low will bring another
system to the coastal waters with more gale to storm force
southeasterlies on Sunday.
