Queen Charlotte Sound.
At 4:00 p.m. PST Friday low 976 mb located over the Gulf of Alaska.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 10:05 AM PST 12 December 2013 A cold front over Queen Charlotte Sound will move southward to the
southern end of Vancouver Island later today. A trough of low
pressure currently oriented north-south over Bowie will lie over
Queen Charlotte Sound late this afternoon.
The front will bring gale to storm force southeasterly winds over
northern and central waters today and strong to gale force
southeasterly winds over southern waters.
Strong to gale force northwesterlies are expected today over the
offshore waters following the passage of the trough.
On Friday, gale force southerly winds are expected over northern and
central waters in advance of an approaching low.
