Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:55 AM PDT 21 May 2013 A strong ridge of high pressure will remain over the offshore waters
while a trough of low pressure intensifies over the province today.
On Wednesday, both the offshore ridge and the interior trough will
weaken, thus decreasing the gradient between these two features.
Gale force northwesterly winds over offshore waters will
Continue today and gradually ease on Wednesday.
Strong westerly or northwesterly winds in the inner straits near
Vancouver Island will also ease today and Wednesday.
