Technical Marine Synopsis

Issued 4:00 AM PST 22 November 2014 Today Tonight and Sunday At 4:00 a.m. PST today ridge located on a line north-south over
Queen Charlotte Sound.
By 9:30 p.m. PST tonight ridge located on a line north-south over
the Lower Mainland.

At 8:00 p.m. PST tonight low 996 mb located over southern Bowie.
By 8:00 a.m. PST Sunday weakening low located over the North Coast.

At 4:00 p.m. PST Sunday ridge located on a line north-south over
the Central Coast.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:45 AM PST 22 November 2014 A deepening Pacific low pressure system will move eastward across
Southern Bowie this evening and Southern Hecate overnight. A
transient ridge of high pressure will follow the low. Over central
waters to the south of the low's track winds will rise to near storm
force southwesterly in advance of the low and then shift to gale
force northwest behind the low. Winds will ease to moderate to strong
westerly Sunday morning. In addition, strong to gale force
southwesterlies will spread to Explorer and west coast Vancouver
Island tonight and then into Juan de Fuca strait Sunday morning.
