Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:41 PM PST 28 November 2014 An Arctic ridge of high pressure continues to build over the B.C.
Interior tonight. Meanwhile, a trough of low pressure lies along the
coast.

The combination of the trough and the Arctic high is resulting in
continued gale to storm force northeasterly outflow winds tonight
through the northern and central mainland inlets. Also, a large area
of gale to storm force northerlies have developed over most central
waters. Gale to near storm force outflow winds will also develop over
the southern mainland inlets tonight.

The winds will ease to strong to moderate northerlies Saturday
morning as the trough is forecast to weaken.

A freezing spray warning is in effect for Douglas Channel and the
Central Coast for tonight.
