Issued 10:30 AM PDT 20 May 2013 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today ridge located west of the offshore waters.

At 4:00 p.m. PDT today intensifying trough located over the
Mainland Coast.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:18 AM PDT 20 May 2013 A strong ridge of high pressure will remain off the offshore waters
while a trough of low pressure develops over the province this
afternoon. Consequently, northwesterly winds will reach gale force
late today over the offshore waters and parts of the central coastal
waters. Strong westerly or northwesterly winds will also develop
Over Juan de Fuca strait and Johnstone Strait this afternoon.
