the Gulf of Alaska.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT today frontal system located on a line north-south
over southern Vancouver Island.
By 8:00 a.m. PDT today departing frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Lower Mainland.

At 11:00 a.m. PDT today deepening low 987 mb located over
southwestern Bowie.
By 11:00 p.m. PDT tonight departing low 984 mb located over
northern Bowie.

At 11:00 p.m. PDT Thursday approaching low 994 mb located over

Issued 3:58 AM PDT 22 October 2014 An intense frontal system over Southern Vancouver Island will move
eastward through the Lower Mainland early this morning bringing gale
force south and southeast winds over the far south. In its wake,
A large cyclonic circulation will prevail around a 976 millibar low
over the Gulf Of Alaska, leading to generally strong southerlies. A
smaller area of low pressure will develop over Southern Bowie
This morning and will track northward off the west coast of Haida
Gwaii this afternoon and evening, bringing strong to gale force
southerlies and southwesterlies to central and northern waters.
Localized storm force southwesterlies are also forecast immediately
behind the low centre. A weak trough of low pressure will move
through the South Coast late this afternoon and this evening,
bringing near gale force southerlies over the far south.
