Marine Weather StatementIssued 4:00 PM PDT 22 October 2014 A large cyclonic circulation will prevail around a 977 millibar low
over the Gulf Of Alaska, leading to generally strong southerlies.
A smaller area of low pressure over Bowie early this evening will
slowly track northward tonight, bringing strong to gale force
southerlies and southwesterlies to central and northern waters.
Localized storm force southwesterlies are also forecast immediately
behind the low centre over Southern Bowie. Meanwhile, a weak trough
of low pressure moving through the South Coast will continue to bring
strong southerlies over the far south before easing this evening.
