Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 9:30 PM PST 7 March 2014 Tonight and Saturday At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight frontal system located on a line
northeast-southwest over the Central Coast.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Saturday frontal system located on a line
north-south over the West Entrance of Juan de Fuca Strait.
At 9:30 p.m. PST tonight low 974 mb located off Bowie.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Saturday low 974 mb located over the northern
Gulf of Alaska.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:29 PM PST 7 March 2014 A strong Pacific frontal system over the Central Coast will slowly
slide southward and reach the South Coast by late Saturday.
In addition, a 974 MB low will traverse northward off Northern Bowie
Over central waters and near Northern Vancouver Island the gale to
storm force southeast winds will ease to strong to gale force
southerlies in the wake of the front. However, gale force southerlies
will occur over Northern Bowie tonight as the low passes by.
Elsewhere over southern waters winds will rise to strong to gale
force southeasterlies by Saturday morning.
