Issued 10:30 AM PDT 22 September 2014 Today Tonight and Tuesday At 10:30 a.m. PDT today dissipating cold front located on a line
northeast-southwest over Vancouver Island.

At 10:30 a.m. PDT today ridge located on a line north-south over
Explorer.
By 8:00 p.m. PDT tonight dissipating ridge located on a line
north-south over Queen Charlotte Sound.

At 4:00 a.m. PDT Tuesday deepening low 977 mb located 550 miles
southwest of Cape Scott.
By 5:00 p.m. PDT Tuesday low 974 mb located 400 miles southwest
of Cape Scott.
 

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 10:27 AM PDT 22 September 2014 An intense low pressure system developing over the Pacific Ocean will
approach the BC offshore waters Tuesday morning. The system will
gradually move northeastward and will reach Northwestern Explorer by
Wednesday morning.

Widespread gale force easterly or southeasterly winds will develop
ahead of the low over the offshore waters and along the outer coastal
waters Tuesday morning. The winds will spread to inner coastal
Waters Tuesday afternoon.

Gale force east or southeast winds are forecast to continue through
Wednesday.
