offshore waters.

Marine Weather Statement

Issued 3:39 AM PDT 23 May 2013 A strong ridge of high pressure remains just outside the offshore
waters while a trough of low pressure remains over the province.
Strong to gale force northwestelry winds are expected persist over
portions of the central waters today. The trough will shift back and
forth across the Central Coast today, causing some locally strong
southeasterlies at times, near Northern Vancouver Island and the
Central Coast. Meanwhile, winds will remain mostly light to moderate
over the inner South Coast.
